I had to wait.
I hate waiting.
As some of you remember I drove down to Canton last week to the Reebok Headquarters to be part of a step video for Morgan Moreau. It was honestly one of the most FUN days I've had in a while.
In part one I was able to tell you a little bit about why I was there, but not everything :) So here it goes, the main reason I was at Reebok...
As of Monday, Reebok launched an amazing program called ReebokOne. It is an online portal where personal trainers and instructors can personalize pages and form networking opportunities. From when and where you are teaching to favorite fitness apparel, ReebokOne covers it. In all, it's a fantastic way for fitness professionals to connect, support and work together in this industry!
Part of this launch, Reebok is producing monthly videos featuring world renowned instructors and trainers. The video I did with Morgan is for the March ReebokOne feature instructor! Since his specialty is step, I was part of his "class" that was featured in the film.
The day began by meeting the other instructors that were able to make this shoot. Everyone was SO nice and welcoming! Each time I go to workshops, events or summits with group exercise instructors I am blown away by their kindness and welcoming personality. It always reassures me that I am in the right industry.
After meet and greet was the fitting! I mean, come on... if feels good to be treated like a rock star for a couple hours, right? Crops, shirt and sneaks and I was all ready to go! They had a hair and makeup stylist, but seeing we were going to be sweating and working out, they told us basics were fine. Side braid/ponytail it was.
If you don't work on a set, you forget just how much goes into it! From the lights to the staging to the curtains and camera docking.
Luckily we were at one of the coolest headquarters in the country, so I had no problem keeping busy.
By shopping.
And buying more Reebok attire.
Duh.

And taking pictures with Dana in front of the big Reebok sign only later to be Instagrammed.
Once the shoot started we had limited break time, so it was nice to be able to shop and putz around the facility for a bit.
Lights, camera, action.
After some basic steps were taught to us, we began! I was super nervous. My heart was beating out of my chest. I wasn't a step instructor. I am not a dancer. I don't have moves like Jagger.
Who brought the negativity committee?
I shook it off, took a deep breath and had fun with it. A huge helper here was the live DJ on stage that turned the whole atmosphere into a dance party! It wasn't long before we were sweating up a storm and I couldn't stop smiling.
We wrapped up around 4:30. Collected my stuff, thanked everyone involved and hit the road. I talked to my mom the whole drive home and I'm pretty sure I never stopped talking. That's usually the sign of a fantastic experience. If you can't shut me up, I've likely had the time of my life.
So there it is!! My behind the scenes, semi secret Reebok experience! New shoes were just the frosting that topped off this unbelievable, fun-filled day.
Have you stepped outside your comfort zone and realized how FUN it can really be?
If so, what was it!?

DeleteWoah, you went to CrossFit mecca! Did you get to see their box? Seriously first time I went there made me just want to abandon all my career ambitions and work for Reebok instead.
